My Travelogue..

Jus wanted to share a bitter experience of mine during our visit to Vizag. Well, In the month of May 2011,I n my hubby along with our two newly wed frnds took a break from our work and planned a small weekend tour to Vizag. The journey from Hyderabad to vizag was awesome...to be frank we couldn’t enjoy the scenic location because we were interacting with each other spouses.. Getting down in the station of vizag was like stepping into a hot shower.. Summer being very humid there, we realized that we visited the place at a wrong time.
Nonetheless, we headed towards our jouney with full of zeal. We booked our rooms from Haritha Hotels and Resorts, vizag. There three suite rooms (number 401, 402 and 403 respectively) were already booked for May 7 2011 and May 8 2011. The whole experience of staying there was pathetic. Our rooms were on the third floor and the hotel didnt have a lift facility. We had to take the stairs after a long journey. Once we entered our rooms, the room service was not upto the mark. The bathroom didnt have basic amenities like a soap, towel, tissue rolls and even the flush tank wasnt working. We had to call in the service manager and after a long haul of 20 mins he came in with these things. (The flush tanks werent repaired as they didnt have onboard plumber).

The main reason for taking the third floor inspite of knowing that there was no lift facility was because of the flowery description given by the manager stating that the whole Araku valley could be seen from the back door glass screen. True, to his description the view was awsome, little did v realise that the doors were noisy and rusted. We had to call the call boy to attend to us, to close that rusted door.

Getting down the three floors, we went to the restaurant on the ground floor, only to find a very bad service. We had to wait for almost 25 mins and still none bothered to take the order. It was only when my friend along with other people waiting there endlessly complained to the F&B manager, they responded. The waiting hall had written boards stating that customer feedback forms would be available at the managers desk. When we asked him for feedback forms to register our complaints he was reluctant to give them.
Having food on time there is yet another hercukean task. Even for breakfast spread of buffet, people serving food were rude to customers. For Dinner we had ordered in the evening (almost as early as 5 hours) and asked them for a room service at 8pm. Even after 9pm they didnt bother to get our food. On repeated calls finally they got it at around 10pm, almost 2 HOURS late!!!!

Adding to our woes were the frequent powercuts and an obsolete generator.... although power came at 11 we had to share our rooms with the bed bugs!!!!

It was truly a nightmare.....!!!
